What does the word baptism mean? It means to be immersed, to enter into something so that you are completely covered. You must be baptized into Christ to be saved, but this is done by the Holy Spirit not by men. You must repent and believe in Jesus Christ. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to baptize you into the body of Christ.

Types of Baptism
Water & Repentance - Water baptism is one of the biggest events in a christian life. It is one that has caused a lot of arguments in the church. After reading my answers above some might ask if we should baptize with water. The answer to that is YES. Jesus told us to baptize others and you read of the disciples baptizing believers in water. It is still important, because it is a step of obediance to God. It is declaring to the world and to yourself that you don't belong to yourself anymore. You belong to God. The world needs to know that and so do you.
